Last night we had the first edition of Minimal Vice City, a party that is trying to bring a new proposal to Miami’s nightlife. Having an all colombian line up, with artists from DeltaRev, Discos Cocinados and a couple of excellent newcoming djs in Miami.
The night started with Zbastian, starting up with some electro and bringing himself up to Minimal Techno set while the place was getting crowded and working itself up to party ambiance as the dj curve was going up and people were already working the dancefloor. Then came the turn of one half of DeltaRev, Dfranko took control of the decks and started throwing some great tracks to keep the vibe going, a lot of melody on his set and some cool beats to dance your way through the night.
Electro, Minimal, Techhouse… a great mixture of sounds to build the atmosphere of an already packed up place dancing to the beat and getting the crowd hyped up to introduce the special guest of the night from Medellin, Colombia: Systematic Failure (Discos Cocinados, DeltaRev), the second half of DeltaRev. Taking over with some Techno, takin it up a notch from where he picked up, and getting the people dancing to a brand new groove. Hard in his set, yet keeping the melody in cue to bring some soul to the dancefloor. Working to spread the word about Discos Cocinados in Medellin, a Label/Collective/Netlabel of djs/producers that have been at work for the past couple of years developing the underground scene in Medellin and also working hard to promote the sound of colombian electronic music around the world.
